I've Been Thinking…

motiv quote

I’m actually on holiday this week.

Feurteventura, since you ask.

I don’t usually send emails while ‘on holiday’ but this is a bit of a working trip too.
And I actually quite like writing to you lovely people on my email list.

Anyone who actually sits and reads my waffling is a valued person who I like to talk to!
(and am very grateful for – thank you)

Holidays are a perfect time to get stuck into a good book right?
Me being me, the one I’ve chosen is a self-development book –
‘Black Hole Focus’ by Isaiah Hankel PHD.

I’ve actually read it once before, but it’s brilliant and very inspiring, so I’m reading it again.

The subtitle on the cover reads
‘How intelligent people can create a powerful purpose for their lives’

And that’s what the book gets you to do.
Decide what you want your life to be about
What you want to achieve and contribute in the world.
Then design a plan to go out and make it happen.

Have you ever thought about your purpose in life?
Why are you here?
What do you want to be, do and have before you die?
What would make you feel truly happy and fulfilled?

If the rest of your life carried on just as it is now,
would you look back at the end and feel proud of what you did and achieved?

So many people have settled for less than they really want.
Believing that they can’t achieve the health / body / career / life that would make them truly happy.

Sometimes you just need someone to tell you.

You CAN do this.

Stop thinking

‘one day…’

‘WHEN this happens, THEN I’ll start looking after myself’

‘now just isn’t the right time’

‘I’m not worth the money and effort – I need to keep focusing on everyone else’

‘I’ll just keep trying all the things that have never worked before’

‘I’m not determined / committed / strong / young / good enough to do that’

‘When I have more time…’

There will NEVER be a perfect time.

The clock is ticking

Please don’t wake up one day in years to come with massive regret.
Still in the same place.

Life is NOW.

You ARE good and deserving enough of spending time / effort / money on yourself.

It is just as possible for you to achieve amazing things as it is for everyone else.
And you deserve it JUST as much as anyone else does.

What’s more, others just like you have already done it

My client Deb, who I’ve emailed about before, is a perfect example
Busy, working full time, family to feed, little time for exercise and preparing food

Deb started the year at size 20/22
She’s now size 14.

That could be you.

Deb identified what she wanted to achieve and committed herself to making it happen.

It’s easy to just dismiss ‘goal setting’ and ‘thinking about your purpose’
And all that stuff.

That takes effort, introspection, courage, becoming uncomfortable.
But to achieve great things you have to get out of your comfort zone.

My purpose in life is to become the best coach I can be.
To help and inspire as many women as possible to achieve their health and fitness goals
and get to a point where they’re happy, confident, healthy, and super proud of themselves.
If I’m successful at that, I know I’ll be able to live a great life too.

What’s your purpose?
What do you really want to achieve?
How can you start living an even better life, being a better version of you in 2017?
Humans feel at their best when they are continually improving and growing in some way.

Have a read of these quotes from Tony Robbins (he’s a self-improvement legend btw – highly recommend any of his books) –

Life is a gift, and it offers us the privilege, opportunity, and responsibility to give something back by becoming more.

The path to success is to take massive, determined action.

If you want to be successful, find someone who has achieved the results you want and copy what they do and you’ll achieve the same results.

People are not lazy. They simply have impotent goals – that is, goals that do not inspire them.

Quality questions create a quality life. Successful people ask better questions, and as a result, they get better answers.

We can change our lives. We can do, have, and be exactly what we wish.

What are you going to achieve in 2017 and the rest of your life?

I would LOVE to know.

If you’d be happy to tell me, or I can help you in any way, just hit reply.
